The Vapor 3X shoulder pads have an anatomical design, providing a natural, close-to-the-body fit for maximum mobility and comfort. This fit is further enhanced with low-profile shoulder caps and full coverage vest. The Vapor 3X shoulder pads are very lightweight, allowing you to fly on the ice without sacrificing the protection.
To remain lightweight, these shoulder pads include a low-profile shoulder cap and a flexaprene vest with optimal ventilation. Flexaprene acts as a base that adapts and flexes to your movement. It also provides better breathability, keeping you feeling cool and dry on the ice.
To keep you protected, Bauer uses a combination of high-end features and materials. These include an integrated spine with a PE insert, an integrated floating sternum, and an adjustable bicep with molded PE. This will provide top notch protection in key areas, without sacrificing any mobility.
For the interior of the 3X shoulder pads, Bauer implements their Thermomax+ liner. This technology, while not at the level of the top-of-the-line Thermocore Zero liner, still offers moisture-wicking properties to help keep the pads light during play and to dry out the shoulder pads quickly in between skating sessions.
While the Vapor 3X shoulder pads are built for the casual player, those in this category who skate a couple times per week can still upgrade to a higher-level model like the Hyperlite if they want top-end protection and mobility.
